NeoCon Favorites

NeoCon is referred to as the world's largest trade show, and prowling the Merchandise Mart during the event, it lives up to its name.  Designers, reps & manufacturers from all over the world showcase what is new in interior design for the upcoming year.  I like to stop by to see certain showrooms to see reps that I haven't seen in awhile, and I always check out the paint manufacturers for color forecasts.  I was only there for a few hours, which is barely enough time to even scratch the surface.  My strategy is to map out (did I mention that it's on 15 or so floors?) the showrooms that I must visit & then list others that I will visit if I have time.  The booths I pass along the way are always a surprise & I will stop if something catches my eye.

Okay, knowing all of this, I thought I'd share a couple of my NeoCon favorites with you.  These are the two that stick out in my mind, as I saw many things that I can't even remember.

Equo, a task lamp by Koncept Lighting with smart, sleek design.  This also comes in a floor lamp that is fabulous, as well as other Z shaped lamps.  The prices are great, too!

I am usually a Benjamin Moore loyalist, but I loved Sherwin Williams display & that goes pretty far with a designer!  They introduced their 2012 Color Forecast with a really pretty graphic (that I cannot find online yet!).  They have the new colors online & this helps give an idea of the presentation.

I also stopped by the Robert Allen fabric showroom & have quite a few samples coming my way - perhaps I'll finally decide on a fabric for the living room curtains?!  I hope!
