Giveaways Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 9:55AM I've been using Shutterfly to store & print pictures for years - I think my first album is from 2004 when my mom and I went to Paris (we like to go there) and the Loire Valley.
We also used Shutterfly for our wedding thank-you cards & album (actually, we make an album after all big trips - I highly recommend doing that!).
So it probably comes as no surprise that we use them for our Christmas cards as well. They have generously offered up free sets of holiday cards for us & THREE of you! Yep, three winners will receive 25 free holiday cards from Shutterfly.
This one tops my favorites list right now. I think we'll do a photo card with a family picture in one, the mini-q's in another & Derby with one all to herself (shocking, I know).

Giveaways Friday, March 11, 2011 at 9:35AM I have been a part of the Rovernight Network from almost the beginning. It was started by a friend of a friend, who suggested it to me when I was stressing over boarding Derby last year. She isn't so keen on the kennel, so this type of service is great for us. We all know how expensive boarding your dog while on vacation can be, and this is a perfect alternative for us. I like to think of it as social networking for dogs, and here is an excerpt from the site that describes it far better than I can:
When Jenna asked me if Derby & I would like to be part of a taping for 190 North, a Chicago program on ABC, I immediately said yes! It was a lot of fun taping the segment - I had no idea how much work goes into a 1 minute and 30 seconds of air time! Ted edited the show down to the part on Rovernight, and I thought I'd share it with you.
My first reaction upon seeing it was "do I really sound like that??" to which Ted replied "sometimes, yes". It was the 4th or so take and I sound a little...strange? I don't know. We also laughed about seeing me texting in the background of the "Yappy Hour" shot. I was texting Ted to come pick up Derby the Devil Dog since she was a little, umm, distracted. Anyway, it was lots of fun!

AND, the moment you've all been waiting for (ha) - the winner of the Claremont Road designed DaVinci quote giveaway! It was a very scientific method involving numbers scattered all over a sheet of paper and a wet dog nose. The nose landed on #8, which means that Brit of Landlocked Bride is the winner! I love quotes, and this one from DaVinci is one of my favorites. My sister has loved it for a long time as well, so I knew I wanted to gift her something involving this quote. I originally turned to Etsy, as one does when looking for these kinds of prints, but only found one that wasn't her style at all. Google searches turned up nothing as well! I then turned to Brooke from Claremont Road, owner of Curious & Company, for help. She is the one responsible for my Bien Living branding - logo, fonts, colors, etc. - and she exceeded my expectations with this design as well!
I have an additional 8" x 10" print and I would love to share it with one of you! It is printed on Kodak Endura Metallic paper, which gives the print a great depth and sheen.
I framed her print in an Artcare frame from Blick. The frame isn't included in this giveaway, but I recommend framing it in something similar. The crisp white mat really makes the blue background and white letters pop.
She loved it!
