Paris
Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 6:25AM As a follow-up to my post on Friday, here are some of my favorite picture from the last trip my mom & I took to Paris. I wanted to blog about it back then, never got around to it & now that Ted and I booked a trip I wanted to finally share them with you!
Okay, so it's more about going through all of our pictures again and reliving my favorite city. But I thought you might like to see them, too :)
Any country that stocks great cheeses in their gas stations is a country for me. Our drive from Normandy to Paris was quite easy and we loved seeing the countryside.
Every time I've gone to Paris I have stayed in St. Germain/Latin Quarter & Notre Dame tends to be one of the first things I see each morning. It takes my breath away. It never gets old.
I love the neighborhoods that line the Seine.
My favorite thing to do in Paris is to walk. Walk the neighborhoods, stopping in at random coffee shops, flower stalls (they are everywhere & are always gorgeous), shops.
While we mostly avoid Starbucks in favor of neighborhood joints, I love that Starbucks food offerings vary from country to country.
Looking back, I remember how chilly we were for most of the trip. Though we were there in spring, I anticipate the weather being quite similar, thereby dashing my hopes for a wardrobe filled with skirts & tights...
We will most definitely stop in to the Petit Casino on the Left Bank to stock up on my beloved Mention Biens (aka store brand Petit Ecolier). Love!
Paris Rooftops from Montmartre
We saw Moulin Rouge the last time we went to Paris. Let's just say that the night it involved too much champagne, "Paris danse!", and later dancing with a random old man who then leveled all of the table surrounding the dance floor & accusing someone of stealing money...only to realize that I had on the wrong coat and my wallet was safely in the pocket of my jacket. It was a blast.
A picture out front would just have to do for this trip :)
We opted for the Musee D'Orsay this trip, but had a great time walking around the courtyards of the Louvre. I love this picture.
A toute a l'heure, Paris!
